![]() ![]() Kahakauwila is the daughter of a Hawaiian father and German-Norwegian (American) mother and grew up in Long Beach, California. ![]() These six stories are suffused with a bittersweet sadness for what could have - or should have - been, for words unsaid, emotions unexpressed, and customs misunderstood.
